abstract:Rebecca Harms (born 7 December 1956 in Hambrock, Uelzen, Lower Saxony) is a German politician and Member of the European Parliament for Alliance '90/The Greens, part of the European Greens. In July 2009 she was elected as co-president of the The Greens–European Free Alliance group in the European parliament.
Green group leader RebeccaHarms said that there needed to be wide ranging reform of Europe's banking system such as banning hedge funds and introducing a financial transaction tax, a call echoed by Lothar Bisky, the leader of the far-left group.
