The rate and pace of change in the industry is such that it's always kind of a jump ball environment where companies are not able to hang on to a great position for a super long time.
That's probably because many entrepreneurs and executives who accumulate super-wealth through company stock tend to hangon to many of the shares for life, leaving it to the kids to diversify the money into real estate and other assets after they die.
