The 2013 Thumbtack.com U.S. Small Business Friendliness Survey released this week from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and local-services marketplace site Thumbtack.com provides the first comparative benchmark on the relative business friendliness of the climate in major U.S. cities.
As detailed in a recent survey of business owners by Thumbtack, most of the legal and regulatory reform that needs to happen to help entrepreneurs is at the state and local level.
Likewise, Daniels says that Thumbtack.com chose to locate its business in Northern California, because there is so much networking in the tech industry to be done in the area.
