What this means is, even though this new series takes a lot of inspiration from theUltimate Spider-Man comics, it is also looking back to those great past eras as well and lifting the best and most important elements, to remain faithful to the full 50 years of Spider-Man history (a 50-year anniversary that is official this August, by the way).
On Tuesday Marvel announced that, following the death of Peter Parker in its Ultimate Fallout series, the mantle of Spider-Man would be passed to a young kid named Miles Morales.
