abstract:The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) is a multidisciplinary organization devoted to research and education in all aspects of gerontology: medical, biological, psychological and social. As of 2008 GSA had over 5,200 members.
The Temple study, presented at the GerontologicalSocietyof America's annual meeting, found 25% of their subjects had "clinically relevant" levels of symptoms, yet only 8% reported having a current diagnosis of depression.
