OWN's 24-hour-a-day programming launched on Jan. 1 in 80 million homes as a partnership between Winfrey's Harpoproduction company and cable programming powerhouse Discovery Communications.
The majority of Oprah's net worth stems from 25 years of her profitable daytime TV show, plus earnings from her Harpoproduction company, which has a hand in the Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray and Dr. Oz shows.
She has yet to take a salary at OWN, so her sources of revenue are now the shows she produces through her Harpoproduction company (like Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray), her satellite radio station and her magazine.
