Well, I am one of those marketers who wants to know who you are, who I am talking to.
And you know, my parents would always say, no, you should be proud of who you are, and you know, I didn't understand that at that time.
So -- and I want to thank all the teachers and the faculty, the staff who are here, because I know that you guys put your heart and soul into doing this great work.
And I know at times you overreact to people who are critical.
When I look out at all of you, I feel confident because I know that as long as there are young people like you who still have hope and are still inspired by the possibilities of America, then there are going to be better days for this country. (Applause.) I know that we are going to come through this stronger than before.
I've got a few other friends who are here -- you may know them, I want to make sure that I acknowledge them.
And we are also focused, as I think many of you know, on the safety of American citizens who are in Libya.
But now as you see these Islamist parties, not just the Salafists, who are getting, you know, lots of, I think, twenty percent of the vote, and what are they doing?

And this year, I know many of you are extending that kindness to the families who are still picking up the pieces from Hurricane Sandy and your prayers to the people of Newtown, Connecticut.
And I know that you could not do it without all the folks who are represented here today -- assistant coaches, trainers, folks in the athletic department, everybody who has been so supportive of this outstanding, outstanding program.
There are people who--and I know that you have heard this--found disappointment in the Million Man March in saying that there was not enough follow-up, that programs died, that there was not enough to do after the fact.
But, at the same time, there's another group of residents who are going, you know, while I love art, I'd rather have a police officer on my block.
And I want you to know that so long as there are Americans who cannot find work I will be fighting for jobs, and so long as the gap between the wealthiest few and everybody else keeps on growing I will be fighting for opportunity.
Ms. SAMUELS: I think these are more everyday folks who have - you know, who want a space in the world because, you know, we have so many people out there that are interested in what's going on in our communities and really want other people to sort of know and feel that same type of passion.
And there are other people, I think, who are disappointed because I think there was, you know, desire to see the all-time home-run record be untainted, you know.
You know, I heard from a lot of Clinton people who are upset that Obama hadn't done more to help her retire her debt and many of them were very upset that she didn't even get vetted for the vice presidential position.
So I'm wondering, are people who are willing to spend, you know, three, four hours a day commuting, are they doing this because they have to or because they want to?
And Vicki and Patrick, Kara, everybody who's here, I just want you all to know how proud we are of the work that Ted did to help this day -- make this day possible.

So what I want all of you to know is that we are going to bring those who killed our fellow Americans to justice. (Applause.) I want people around the world to hear me: To all those who would do us harm, no act of terror will go unpunished.
You know, the people who I meet now that I find most inspiring who are successful I think are people who are not only willing to work very hard but are constantly trying to improve themselves and to think in new ways, and not just accept the conventional wisdom.

But then I think there were a huge number of people who said, you know, most of my friends are very middle class people.
Young people who are 24, 25, who say, you know what, I just got diagnosed with a tumor.

"I always talk about the outliers that are out there you just don't know who it's going to be, " Michigan coach John Beilein said.
Look, I think that it is safe for anyone to assume -- and I don't mean just for CEOs, but, I mean, obviously we've got, there are, you know, 300 million taxpayers who any of us owe it to, to be responsible with their money.
You have to look at it in a sense of it might take five years to really build a company, and know who your actors are, and know who your directors are - you can't do it instantly, and I think it has to happen in a rather organic way.

But I think it gives you a sense of always knowing who you are and where you are, you know?
And you know, there are those who have aligned themselves with a very conservative political approach, and I promise you I won't get their votes.
