It is almost impossible for some of them to get health care because they've already had maybe a heart attack, maybe they've had an incident of cancer, maybe they've had some sort of other preexisting condition that makes insurers want to shy away from them.

This seems such a catastrophic injury it's hard to imagine that there wasn't some sort of a pre-existing condition or - it just seems extraordinary that an animal could destroy itself in such a way if it was a healthy animal.
