The developers of the network, based at the UniversityofManchester in the UK, see its primary use in care homes or hospital wards, to raise an immediate alarm in the case of a fall.
"If one decays more often to this final state... than the other one, then it shows a fundamental difference between matter and antimatter, " said Chris Parkes of the UniversityofManchester, spokesperson for the UK contingent of the LHCb collaboration.
