Heixiazi island is a sedimentary island at the confluence of the Ussuri and Heilongjiang rivers, along the border between China and Russia.

It left the port not far from the Sino-Russian border without permission from Russian authorities last Thursday and was chased by a cruiser, the newspaper said.

First, China and Russia share a border of over 4300 kilometers, being each other's biggest neighbor.
