I have two turtles as pets.

For pets, I had turtles, snakes, mice, fish, salamanders, chameleons, ducks, and, finally, a cocker spaniel.

Dinner was the tortoise - which I'd naively assumed had been offered as a pet - and a plate of giant armadillo meat.
