A passenger jet carrying a local ice hockey team has crashed while taking off in western Russia, killing 36 people, the country "s emergency situations ministry said."

It is reported that, Yaroslavl engine ice hockey team originally planned to fly to Minsk, the capital of Belarus, with Minsk Dynamo hockey team the first round of the Continental hockey League game.
