免疫增强剂是一个新的药物类别，曾用名为免疫促进剂及免疫刺激剂。本类药物能使低下的免疫功能提高，加速诱导免疫应答反应，大多是以肿瘤的非特异性免疫疗法为目的而开发的。近年，证明具有双方向性调节免疫功能之作用，故多数学者用免疫调节剂这一名词。
