The author's viewpoints are described. Some problems are proposed on "Technical Drawing, Ways of Simplified Expression", so that the department of formulating standard can rectify them in time.

The purpose of the thesis is to utilize UML to improve GIS figure modeling and apply to figure modeling course with GIS linear data simplifying and automatic cartographic generalization.
