Psychologists have long theorized about why some people revel in scary movies and have identified 'thrill-seeking personalities' who are drawn to roller coasters, gambling and extreme sports.

Many come for the Cyclone, a rickety, wooden, 80-year-old rollercoaster, which has been likened to riding a really dangerous piece of furniture.

It reminds me that there's a reason I don't seek out the thrill of theme-park roller coasters.
