Besides structural self-waterproofing of Xuanwu Lake Tunnel, Nanjing, an additional waterproofing layer was set up to ensure waterproofing reliability.

The article introduces specification for structural concrete used in the tunnel as well as its mix design, main properties and temperature-strain results measured.
