Scientists studying history weather patterns have discovered that in the mid-sixth century, Earth suddenly became significantly cooler.

In some stretches, the scientists were able to pinpoint what the region's weather was like from one week to the next — by far the most detailed climate history ever produced.

Historical weather patterns do, however, suggest linkages across the Northern Hemisphere's middle latitudes, intermittently coupled in turn to India's summer monsoon cycles.
