原儿茶酸( Protocatechuic acid, PCA) 别名：3,4-二羟基苯甲酸，CAS:。分子式： (HO)2C6H3COOH，分子量： 154.12，性质：白色至褐色结晶性粉末，在空气中变色。密度1.54g/cm3。熔点约200℃（分解）。溶于50份水中；溶于乙醇、乙醚。植物来源：存在于鳞始蕨科植物乌蕨[Stenoloma chusanum(L.)Ching]的叶，冬青科植物冬青(Ilex chi-nensis Sims)的叶等植物中。药理功效：本品具有抗菌作用，体外试验时对绿脓杆菌、大肠杆菌、伤寒杆菌、痢疾杆菌、产碱杆菌及枯草杆菌和金黄色葡萄球菌均有不同程度的抑菌作用。亦有祛痰、平喘作用。临床用于治疗慢性气管炎。
