县级市，是中国行政区划之一，行政地位与市辖区、县、自治县、旗、自治旗、特区、林区相同，属县级行政区，由省、自治区直辖（大部分属于地级市代管）或由地区、自治州、盟管辖。中国大陆自1980年以来，随着工业化、城镇化的不断推进，大多数县级市都以“撤县设市”的方式建立。自1983年起，县级市被作为行政区划术语被正式确立下来。中国共计387个县级市。
