发达国家
发达国家（Developed Country），又称已开发国家和先进国家。是指那些经济和社会发展水准较高，人民生活水准较高的国家，又称作高经济开发国家（MEDC）。发达国家的普遍特征是较高的人类发展指数、人均国民生产总值、工业化水准和生活品质。借由开发自然资源也可以达到较高的人均国民生产总值和人类发展指数，但未必属于发达国家（比如文莱、沙特阿拉伯、卡塔尔等国）。发达国家大都处于后工业化时期，服务业（也就是商业）为主要产业，而发展中国家则大都处于工业化（制造业，也就是工业）时期，未开发国家则还在农业时代。根据国际货币基金组织2015年的统计资料，发达国家的GDP占世界60.8%，按购买力平价计算则占42.9%，人口占世界比率约16%。
