If this flag is false, the client state remains in place across connections with the broker; for example, the client application does not need to re-subscribe every time it subsequently reconnects.

Quick flags allow you to set priority flags to a message for Follow Up, without displaying the Follow Up dialog box.

You won't need to specify the -v flag on subsequent connections; but it is quite useful to do so while testing a connection.
