Halley's comet, which reappears about every 75 years, is a 'short-period' comet from a different part of the Solar System called the Kuiper Belt.

Battalion commander of the duty officer said: "tomorrow evening about eight o 'clock, Halley's comet will be in the area to see the comet can be seen once every 76 years."

Earth crosses the orbit of Halley's comet annually in October. The meteors are debris from this comet that enter Earth's atmosphere and vaporize as they fall.
