New Li-ion battery is environment friendly, outstanding in safety, good in high power discharge and low in self-discharge. It can replace NiCD and NiMh battery in many areas.

Power is supplied by an internal rechargeable battery (lithium-ion prismatic cell), by an external voltage, or through the USB host.

Research of zinc-air battery in this thesis includes: optimum process of air electrode preparing, assembly of button cell, design and assembly of cylinder cell.
