In this study, landfill leachate characteristics and several treatment technologies are summarized and discussed for further investigation of leachate treatment.

The process and research of leachate treatment were analyzed, and all the methods were compared, found that after the pretreatment, commix leachate and town wastewater for a co-treatment was feasible.

The present status of landfill leachate pollution control technology is analyzed. The characteristic and effect of kinds of landfill leachate at home and abroad are summarized.
