In this paper through analysis of the construction of carpentry work the evolution process of temple buildings from Liao dynasty to Song dynasty is studied.

The analysis of the construction of carpentry work of Liao temple buildings is helpful for understanding the structural characteristics wood construction and features of Liao architecture.
