套种（relay cropping）是指在前季作物生长后期的株行间播种或移栽后季作物的种植方式，也叫套作、串种。对比单作它不仅能阶段性地充分利用空间，更重要的是能延长后季作物的生长季节，提高复种指数，提高年总产量。套种是一种集约利用时间的种植方式。一般把几种作物同时期播种的叫间作，不同时期播种的叫套种。
