女为悦己者容，出自<<战国策·赵策一>>：“豫让遁逃山中曰：嗟乎！士为知己者死，女为悦己者容，吾其报智氏之雠（chóu）矣。” 豫让是春秋四大刺客之一，本为晋国卿士智氏家臣，公元前453年，晋国赵氏联合韩氏、魏氏在晋阳打败智氏，智氏宗主智伯瑶被杀，头颅被赵襄子做成酒器使用。豫让为报答智伯瑶知遇之恩，伏桥如厕、吞炭漆身多次行刺赵襄子，最后自刎而死，留下了 “士为知己者死，女为悦己者容”的千古绝唱。
