A folk dancer from the desert Indian state of Rajasthan lifts rings with her eyelids during a cultural program organised during the Teej festival in the northern Indian city of Chandigarh.

One woman told me last Christmas that she did not believe either in hell or in ghosts.

A spokesman said: 'We all know that women do a lot of work at Christmas, but men shouldn't make up excuses for not helping out or be afraid of the kitchen.
