For women, however, some things have changed, with 84% of working women in the USA now being part of the information and service sectors.

The odd ones out are America and Britain, which both have lots of women at work and fertility rates close to replacement level (with immigration making up the rest).

"We've actually lost a couple of women this year who we work with and most of the city doesn't even know that happened," she told CBC News.
