抢救性发掘
抢救性发掘不是相对一般性发掘而言的，而是相对主动性发掘。抢救性发掘一般是由于基建工程的原因，不得不对遗址进行清理，即是被动发掘。而主动性发掘是指为了解决一个考古学问题而进行的发掘，比如夏商周断代工程中，为了解决年代问题的某些发掘就是主动性发掘。但现在我国一般不允许主动性发掘，一是为了保护文物，一是为子孙后代留点东西。
