Methods The glutaraldehyde (GA) treated porcine aortic valves were modified chemically with epoxy chloropropane (EC).

The pretreatment methods, the dosage of modified glutaraldehyde and the tanning conditions were researched in more detail, and the properties of the finished leathers were also compared.
