Xinjiang Time
Anything less would create the platform for conflict in a gloomy tomorrow. For example, for the past 23 years, legislation in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has made it compulsory that all residents from within the area are to follow what is known as the “Xinjiang Time”, which is two hours later than the standard Beijing Time. Nonetheless, what has happened is that the local social mainstream has maintained its own preference – the Beijing Time – while the aboriginal groups stuck to the Xinjiang Time.
