MD simulations are carried out to study spallation in solid and liquid copper incuded by planar shock loading at exteme strain rates.

With it we simulate a brain front crash process, and get the curves which describe the process's speed, energy, strain and stress.

The essential features of the method are to study displacement discontinuity problems in continuous displacement field and to simulate discontinuity by introducing enhanced assumed strain.
