The Peony Pavilion, a classic of Chinese literature, is a masterpiece written by Tang Xianzu, a famous dramatist in the Ming dynasty and known as "the Oriental Shakespeare".

Peony Pavilion is one of the classical works by great playwright Tang Xianzu in Ming Dynasty. It describes that the lovers, Du Liniang and Liu Mengmei became true couple through the test of death.
