Autobots
...们非常重视译名的本土化，除“塞博特恩（Cybertron）”等少数词是音译外，上百个名词几乎都是意译或是自创。如汽车人（Autobots），来源于Auto汽车和Robots机器人的意译。霸天虎（Decepticons），来源于deception欺诈和contra反对，但译者并未直译。

汽车人
汽车人（Autobots）是《变形金刚》里面的正面角色。他们的前身和霸天虎一样，都是五面怪统治赛伯坦时生产出来的，不过他们被设定为民用用途的机器人。(这是G1系列的设定，非G1系列的动画并不遵循此设定)
