Parenteral somatostatin analog octreotide has been shown to be useful in the treatment of severe long-standing diabetic diarrhea (1).

The stability descended when it was used for 24 hours. Conclusion:Somatostatin in 5% glucose injection can be combined used, but it is not suitable to combined use with potassium electrolyte solution.
