The general drilling depth system is composed of a single-chip microcomputer, a personal computer, hardware and software.

This system consists of sonic sonde, magnetic locator sub, gamma ray tool, depth system, surface preprocessing unit, data acquisition interface, PC486 and thermal plotter.

The winch lowers and raises the cable in the well. A depth wheel drives the depth recording system. The data recorder includes a digital recorder and a printer.
