The theoretical criterion of using the relative values of binding energies to select polymer binding agent breaks a new path for the formulation design of polymer-bonded explosive (PBX).

Mix of TATB and RDX is used as main explosive, and mixture of EVA and F26 as polymer binder. Through slow cook-off tests and small scale gap tests, the composition proportion has been determined.
