Formation and shape of coke in coils of thermal cracking furnace, and advances in technologies of coking inhibitor, especially in decoking were reviewed in this paper.

The results showed that waste plastics would combust rapidly and completely in the surroundings of high temperature and abundant oxygen, they could replace coke and coal partly in the blast furnace.
