Fuel surcharge for flights longer than 800 km has been lowered to 140 yuan per passenger, down by 10 yuan, while the fee on other domestic routes will remain 80 yuan.

According to online travel agency Ctrip. com, Shenzhen Air, a subsidiary of Air China, will cut fuel surcharges from 200 yuan per passenger to 179 yuan.

Flying will become slightly cheaper for passengers as Chinese airlines trimmed fuel surcharges for domestic flights, Shanghai Daily reported.
