生长点，植物学上通常称为分生区，又称生长锥或顶端分生组织，此处细胞分裂活动旺盛。根和茎的顶端分生组织又叫生长点或生长锥，植物学一般称之为分生区。亦有多肉爱好者称多肉植物完整叶片基部能产生不定根、不定芽的部位为生长点。此处异于植物学定义的生长点，疑为讹传。
