相对定向（relative orientation）是指恢复或确定象对在摄影时的相对关系，即解算立体像对相对方位元素的工作，恢复两光束间相对方位的工作，理论依据是同名光线共面的原则。相对位置的表示方法有两种：（1）单独象对相对定向；（2）连续象对相对定向。解求的方法有两种：（1）光学机械法；（2）解析法。
