Researchers have found that relocating people out of poor neighborhoods can be as effective as drugs in reducing their chances of becoming overweight and developing diabetes.

It works as well as other diabetes pills but does not cause weight gain or too-low blood sugar, the analysis found.

This would be the breakthrough if we can find drugs and agents to prevent the progression of type 2 diabetes and of course GLP 1 based on animal studies have very interesting effects.
