The relics found in 14brick -chambered tombs of Tang -Song period in Xiyaocun provided new data for the study on the social visage of Chengdu area in that time.

The second tomb was a square single-chamber brick structure with a domed roof, and yielded a total of139funerary objects including pottery figurines and utensils, animal models and a stone epitaph.

The large tombs are invariably of a multi-chambered brick structure equipped with a long tomb passage and a tall brick facade.
