A rough neural network - based approach to determining the main airways affecting the stability of airflow in mine ventilation is put forward.

It is shown that the rough network is accurate and available for prediction of stock market.

Because the error transfer function of rough neural network is not differentiable, genetic algorithms are applied for training the network.
