As with many diseases that are difficult to diagnose initially, lupus's early symptoms (which include fatigue, migrating pain, and cognitive deficits) can lapse and go into remission.

Objective: to explore the initial symptoms and immunologic features of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in children; to provide clinical experience for diagnosis of pediatric SLE at early stages.
