绝缘等级
绝缘等级是指电机(或变压器)绕组采用的绝缘材料的耐热等级。电机与变压器中常用的绝缘材料等级为A、E、B、F、H五种。每一绝缘等级的绝缘材料都有相应的极限允许工作温度(电机或变压器绕组最热点的温度)。电机或变压器运行时，绕组最热点的温度不得超过表6-1中的规定，否则会引起绝缘材料加速老化，缩短电机或变压器的寿命;如果温度超过允许值很多，绝缘会损坏，导致电机或变压器烧毁。
