绿色溶剂：绿色溶剂是指在使用温度下为液体的物质。它具有在不改变其化学性质的情况下溶解、稀释或提取其他物质的能力。传统的有机溶剂（丙酮、NMP、甲苯等）虽然非常有效，但在健康和工人安全（烧伤、癌症、湿疹、脑疾病（脑病）、胎毒性（通过胎盘）以及同时炎症多个周围神经）以及环境和普通人的健康（雾霾前体、水、空气和臭氧层污染）方面存在许多问题。溶剂在各个领域（涂料、涂层、合成等）中占据了化学用途的重要部分，并因此定义了化学工业的许多环境性能。
