Based on the analysis of the memetic phenomena in this field, the author tries to provide some useful hints and references for how to treat the Internet language.

This paper introduces the idea of memes and analyzes genotype and phenotype of the Internet language. Lastly, it summarizes the features of the Internet language.

This thesis concludes that successful netspeak memes are restricted by these three worlds, and that the transmission of netspeak memes is the result of adaptation to the three worlds.
