Motorola's network business is currently part of a unit that also makes television set top boxes.

The firm has extended its software into other devices, like television set-top boxes and mobile phones, created (and later sold) web businesses in travel and media, and moved into new areas.

This is the first holiday season that I can imagine multiple new Internet TV boxes being hits…and even though the Boxee Box won’t sell in Apple TV-like numbers, I could see it doing quite well.
